How We Assess for ADHD

At ADHD Assessment Clinic, our approach to evaluating clients for ADHD is in-depth, experienced and effective.

Our process is explorative, incorporating both subjective and objective data and feedback to insure we thoroughly understand how your brain works, how you feel each day, and how symptoms are impacting your life.

ADHD Assessment Clinic Process

Our process begins with a one-hour clinical interview. During this session, we gather information from you—and others, if relevant—about your daily routines, activities, interactions, and relationships. We discuss how you feel, what challenges you encounter, and how these factors are impacting your life.

Next, we progress through a comprehensive series of tests comprising the objective body of our ADHD assessment. In one to two in-person sessions, we evaluate executive function, attention, concentration, personality, information processing, memory, and academic functioning. Learn more about the components of our ADHD testing for adults or children.

Upon completion of the clinical interview and assessment, we analyze the full complement of information and data and produce a professional neuropsychological evaluation detailing observations and findings from the testing. This report also includes our recommendations for a treatment pathway based on your results.

For parents of children with an ADHD diagnosis, we offer a post-assessment treatment consultation with Dr. Zoe Collins, Psy.D. Dr. Collins, an ADHD expert, will help create an actionable treatment plan and provide recommendations for working with your child’s school. This service is available with the full ADHD assessment as a bundle or separately after a diagnosis.
